A Wonderful World

God included so much detail in this wonderful world that He created. Do you know that the red blood cells of a camel are oval-shaped? This shape keeps the camel’s blood cells from bursting when it drinks large amounts of water. And a camel can drink up to 40 gallons of water at a time! The oval-shape also protects the camel from dehydration because oval-shaped cells can circulate even in thick blood. Cool, huh!? But of course, God knew where the camel would live and what the animal’s needs are.
Do you know that the beautiful sand nests of the white-spotted puffer fish confused scientists for years? They didn’t know what was making these huge artistic underwater circles. This puffer fish is an ordinary hardworking little three inch male fish. He designs an intricate nest and even decorates it with shells and such to attract a female to lay her eggs in the center of the nest.
Have you ever considered the arctic fox, whose coat allows him to survive in temperatures well below zero? Or considered the life of the honey bee or the workings of an ant colony? Or considered how the bear knows when to hibernate or how the tree leaves change color in the fall? These are only a very small sample of the amazing things that make up our wonderful world!
We hope that you have the opportunity to explore God’s creation and find joy in the beauty and detail of His work.
Job 37:14 Hearken unto this, O Job: stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.
Daniel 4:3 How great are his signs! and how mighty are his wonders! his kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and his dominion is from generation to generation.
Merry Christmas!!
And a very Happy New Year!!
